Fun Childrens activities for the summer

AS we stated on the last blog that we are posting useful information for safe and inexpensive Childrens activities for the summer holidays. We hope you found the last posting useful, this time we will mention the Glasgow science center, Glasgow Museum of Transport.
The Glasgow Science Centre:
The Science Mall Explore and discover hundreds of hands-on exhibits, interactive workshops, live science shows and labs where you can perform fascinating experiments! Turn copper pennies from “silver” into “gold” in “Going for Gold”, follow a trail based on the CBeebies hit show “Nina and the Neurons” and explore the science behind fire in our theatrical science show “Flame On” – all free with Science Mall entry!
The ScottishPower Planetarium offers the chance to see a night sky as it should be seen, with thousands of points of light above us. Most city-dwellers have never seen a clear night sky, as light pollution is now a serious problem throughout the Western world. The controlled environment of the ScottishPower Planetarium with its amazing Zeiss Starmaster projector enables us to look afresh at the canopied heavens.
IMAX CinemaWith a screen bigger than a 5-a-side football pitch and a digital 12,000 watt sound system, the IMAX shows 2D and 3D films that will amaze and astound you. The IMAX camera looks at the world – and the universe – in a different way. After seeing an IMAX film you’ll never see a standard cinema the same way either.
Glasgow TowerExplore the workings of this unique piece of machinery,then take the 2 ½ minute ride as you travel over 100m skyward to the Glasgow Tower cabin to enjoy unrivalled views over the city and surrounding countryside.
Glasgow Tower will close in adverse weather conditions such as winds over 40mph. Please call 0871 540 1000 or visit http://www.glasgowsciencecentre.org/ to confirm availability prior to setting out. (In an emergency situation it may be necessary for visitors to walk a short distance. Therefore, wheelchair bound visitors cannot use the Tower lifts. Buggies and prams are not permitted in the Glasgow Tower lifts.)
If you are hungry:Self-service café, vending machine and picnic areas on site.
Glasgow Science Centre’s Café is open during selected periods and serves light meals and hot and cold snacks. A Ritazza coffee pod serving light snacks, coffees and teas is situated in the Atrium, they also do a range of healthy vegetarain options at the cafe, the cafe does not sale baby food but the staff are willing to warm milk on request. Baby high chairs are available.
If you wish to buy someone a gift or a small reminder of the Science Center they have gifts from 20p to £100.
The Center has disabled toilets and baby changing facilities

The Glasgow Museum of Transport: The museum uses its collections of vehicles and models to tell the story of transport by land and sea, with a unique Glasgow flavour. Here you will find the oldest surviving pedal cycle and the finest collection in the world of Scottish-built cars, the museum is totally free and all kids will love it.
